Welcome letter

From September 1-4, 2010, the European Laryngological Society will organize its 8th Congress in Vienna Medical School, Austria.

Previous congresses of our Society took place in Marburg, Rome, Paris, Brussels, Lisbon, Nottingham and Barcelona, and attracted up to 400 participants from all over Europe.

In this 8th edition, we aim to gather at least this high number of participants, by including attractive scientific sessions, State-of-the-art  round table discussions and appealing instructional courses, all of them related to laryngeal diseases. The programme will specifically address otorhinolaryngologists, phoniatricians, oncologists and voice professionals.

In addition to this high-quality programme we are preparing, we also count with Vienna to increase the number of delegates. This city, designated in 2001 as UNESCO World Heritage site, is a perfect mixture of old and new. Full of historical and cultural attractions, is well known for its 19th century balls and musical tradition, it has become a cosmopolitan city, in which new trends also have a perfect place to exist. Describing its magnificency and its friendly atmosphere becomes a very difficult task. So, the best way to discover it is coming to the Congress!
